However, due to the limitation of mechanical structure, compared with the panel, the column and beam parts are relatively weak in heat insulation performance. The heat break curtain wall has become the mainstream of the current curtain wall system, and the heat break mode of the curtain wall is basically the way of the heat break strip. The common materials are mainly Tyleno wind heat break strip, PA66 nylon heat insulation strip, and bridging-PVC. The heat break strip connects the interior and exterior curtain wall components to form a keel supporting structure of the curtain wall frame.

Among them, in addition to the heat break function, the main function of the heat break strip is to connect the aluminum alloy components of the curtain wall, so it needs to have the strength and stiffness similar to that of the aluminum alloy. In the application of engineering project, the curtain wall profile has become the key material widely used, but because the cost of the heat break bar has a great impact on the cost of the heat break profile, it also causes the increase of the curtain wall cost. Due to the requirements of heat break, the connection between the building structure and the column of the curtain wall system can only be limited to indoor, that is to say, the column supporting the curtain wall system can only be on the indoor side of the heat break strip.
